Invitation To Sultanate of Oman
OK dear fellows, let me first introduce myself toy you for your orientation about me and my whereabouts. Yes I am Dr. Arif Sohail- an X graduate of PMC. I cleared my M.B.B.S in 1986- finished my internship in Medicine & Surgery and later on joined WAPDA as Medical Officer. Now I am here in Oman since 1995 working as a General Duty Medical Officer- got promotion as Senior Medical Officer last year & now here I am with all of you friends and the main purpose of this documentation is to provide you with all the facts and figures to encourage you friends to come to this part of the gulf- not only to earn the money but to enjoy the life especially the family life which is equivalent to ZERO in Pakistan under the present circumstances where people like us are engaged in multiple jobs to earn for their survival at the cost of their family lives. YES, this is the real time to think and to act immediately as I know one thing that all the Pakistani doctors, they have the real potential, they have the guts and they are the true hard workers. The only thing that is lacking among us is the proper guidance & the the channel to use as we are so much used to Bypass channels in our home country that we forgot the proper channel & its proper use. HOW IS OMAN LIKE? The most beautiful & well established city of Oman is its capital MUSCAT. This is a well organized & well maintained and very well disciplined city where law is everything. There is a major motorway connecting the capital to the other cities. On one side there is Arabian sea and on the other side there is the popular desert of Oman. Most of the cities are existing alongside the sea shore which covers one side of the country. The traffic here in Oman is as disciplined as its people. The local police has got all the powers of maintaining the law & order & they are very well maintaining it for the integrity of their country. The most difficult task here in Oman is to get the driving liscence. Many of my colleagues, I remember got it on their 15th try.. You really have to prove your driving skills & be perfect to achieve your goals for the driving liscence. The climate in Oman, yes as expected is very HOT & humid near the coastal areas. There are places like Murree in our side called Salalah which is the tourist point & every year attracting many tourists all over the world. There are plenty of beaches in Oman & the biggest TURTLE BEACH of the world is also situated in Oman where you can find turtles weighing in TONS. The roads of Oman are the real luxury for the long distant drivers and you really love to drive on these roads. The average speed used to be 140-150. There are very svere RTAs because of fast moving vehicles & the casualties are too on the higher side as this is the major cause of death here in Oman. Oman is one country where you will find almost all the new cars as these people they donot keep the old cars which goes ultimately to the Egyptians as they are the real Kanjoos community in the gulf. In contrary to Pakistan, Omans population is less than what we are having in Faisalabad and then this country is very rich in Petrol. I myself has seen the Petrol Wells where the petrol is coming out like water. Infact this place is in the desert attached to Ibri- my work place. This area is overwhelmed by British People as they are the one who got the contract for withdrawl of Petrol and are taking away 75% of Petrol from here. WORKING CONDITIONS IN OMAN Being the true Islamic country, the people here in Oman are true lover of the religion & religious customs. Everyone goes to the mosque especially for the Magrib prayers. All are keeping Islamis beard & stick to the values of Islam. After coming here, I came to know the real meanings of Islam as these people they are still following the basics of Islam which were there at the time Islma was introduced for arabs. Simplicity, honesty, loyalty and indiscrimination between the rich & the poor are some basic rules to follow over here & thats the reason why God has given them too much in the form of OIL. There is no concept of PEERI- MUREEDI here in whole Gulf. I donot know from where it has reached to our country but definitely not from the Gulf. WHERE SHALL WE APPLY? The Directorate General of Health Affairs, The basic requirements are as under,
SO GO AHEAD, JUST CLICK YOUR LUCK, JOIN OMAN TASK FORCE AS A HEALTH CARE PROVIDER AND YOU MAY FIND ME ON MUSCAT AIRPORT IN ORDER TO GIVE YOU A VERY WARM WELCOME ON JOINING THE MINIDTRY OF HEALTH, OMAN. Please dont mind in asking any queries in your mind as I am here to help you people for the same ALL THE BEST AND HAVE A GREAT TIME. DR.ARIF SOHAIL SHEIKH. |
